Grade 6:

Here is the content that will be on your upcoming Math test this Friday.

Please know that we have a double period that day, and that Mr. Kom will be with us for additional support and guidance.

What you need to know for the test is:

• Recognizing Patterns in Numbers
• Writing Pattern Rules
• Representing Patterns on a Graph (table of Values, coordinate Pairs and interpretations)
• Equal Expressions
• Variables in Equations

The format of the test will be both multiple choice, short answer, and word problems.

Work this week in class will be dedicated to how to study and what to study for Friday. This will help you with your study skills for math tests this year.

Hi Grade Six!

For TUESDAY, I would like you make sure you have completed all four Khan Academy assignments on plotting coordinates on a coordinate plane.

Today I passed out the 1, 4, 8, 9 Math Investigation assignment. We went over how to do a few today in class and how to use Order of Operations, exponents, square roots, summation and factorials to get a lot of different expressions.

We came up with a final due date of : OCTOBER 31st. I have placed this on the middle school calendar.

For Tuesday, please make sure you have completed the assigned Khan Academy assignments and watched the videos on Order of Operations.
