Q: What time is the exam?
Q: Can I use a calculator on the math exam?
A: Yes! You are allowed to use a calculator for all parts of the exam. No phones allowed!
Q: How long is the exam?
A: You have 90 minutes to complete the exam, unless you have extra time in your plan.
Q: How much is the exam worth?
A: The exam will count as 20% of your second trimester grade mark (by strand).
Q: Do I have to show all of my work?
A: Yes! You are encouraged to show ALL of your steps. There will be communication marks on top of your exam mark.
Q: What are communication marks?
A: Communication marks are points that you receive for showing and displaying all work and thinking.
Q: Do you need to use therefore ∴ statements when placing your answer.
A: You are encouraged to do so, but you will not lose marks. HOWEVER, you DO have to answer word problems in word format.
Q: What do I need to bring into the exam?
A: Great question! Pencil, eraser, a calculator (if you want to use your own) and a good, positive attitude.
Q: Do we get our exams back?
A: Yes! You will receive your exam package and grade back with feedback. ( I will check to see if you can keep it or not)
